Pixel Perfect celebrates the voices and creativity of our students as they communicate their personal and imaginative stories through photography and videography.


As part of SYFgoesOnline! 2022, Pixel Perfect is an opportunity for aspiring student photographers and videographers to develop their interests, hone their skills in visual storytelling, and showcase their works on SYF platforms.  


Pixel Perfect 2022 is open to all students in MOE Primary and Secondary schools, Junior Colleges (JC) and Millennia Institute (MI), and Special Education schools. We welcome students to respond to the theme and submit one entry in the Photo Story OR Video Story category under the Primary or Secondary and JC/MI level. Shortlisted entries will be exhibited on the SYF website and/or social media.



The theme for Pixel Perfect 2022 is

Gratitude in Life


This year’s theme invites students to capture the people, places or moments they are grateful for. 
‘Gratitude in Life’ encourages students to express their gratitude towards life as it unfolds; be it towards those who care or make sacrifices for them, their love for the world, or memorable events in life. 

Students are invited to create a photo or video story based on their experience in one of the three sub-themes below.


a. People
  • Who are you grateful for in life, and why?
  • How was this person/ group of people help and care for you or the community in one way or another?
b. Places
  • What is unique about this place, and what does it mean to you?
  • What fond memories do you have of it?
  • How has it made a difference in your life?
 c. Moments
  • What are some things you enjoy doing which you are thankful for?
  • How has the experience changed you or added new meaning or perspective to your life?
