Welcome to our world…our Art!

Space matters. We learnt that artists in the past and present respond to the concept of space in varied ways through their art practices: to record and develop ideas about space, to express an emotion of space, or to represent their fascination for the space.

We, the student artists, would like to invite all of you into our world to experience how space matters to us.

For this year’s exhibition, the theme, Artist and Space motivated us to imagine, inquire and discover many ways to interpret and express the concept of ‘space’. Our art processes took us to different ‘spaces’ around us and enabled us to see the ‘spaces’ with new eyes. We found inspiration in the places in our environment and the objects we interact with daily. We forged connections with the people who live and work within these spaces. With these understandings, we created our artworks that are personal and meaningful to us.
